Welcome!

My name is Rebecca Adam and I am a birth doula and photographer in Santa Cruz County. I live in the Santa Cruz mountains alongside my husband and daughter. My journey to becoming a doula was a bit round-about, but I feel

that I was always waiting to become a doula even before I really knew what a “doula” was. After receiving my bachelors degree in Global Studies, where I studied the culture and traditions of people around the world, I spent time moving around California and developing my passion for photography.

While living in South Lake Tahoe and working for a wellness center, I finally signed up for a birth doula training workshop through Doulas of North America (DONA). I felt confident that this was a role I had been preparing for all my life! I began supporting births a few months later, even throughout my own pregnancy, and haven’t looked back since.

It brings me so much joy to weave birth work and photography together for my clients.

I am here to support and honor all people and backgrounds, and my goal is to create a safe birthing space for you regardless of skin color, socioeconomic status, and sexual and gender identity.
